Tuesday, April 28th. - Long vowel ee sound

Hello kids!
How lovely to be able to “be together” again!

Today we are going to work with Phonics.
The long vowel sound “ee”

As you know we have the short “e” sound as in “egg”, or “elephant” or “tent”!
This time we are going to learn the long “ee” sound.
If I put two e's together it makes the sound “ee” as in “bee” or “tree” or” teeth”!

There are two main ways to write an “ee” sound.

Remember: “When two vowels go walking, the first one does the talking.”

This is another way to spell the long e sound, as in “eat” or “tea”, “teach”.

First, get your copybook, or a piece of paper and copy the following:

Today is Tuesday, April 28th

The weather is  ____________________.

SHEEP, BEAN (“ee” and “ea”)

Now, let's put the words in the right place.

Ready?
Once you finish remember to send me a picture of your work.
